• Open up the original toilet room with the use of a low pony wall to provide a sense of privacy
• Display the client’s personal art collection and treasured collectibles within the Master Bathroom to showcase the homeowner’s personal style.

Compact Sophistication
Owner Inspiration:
• Homeowner wanted the space to be fun and electic.
• Avid cooks, they wanted kitchen to function well.
• Needed ample prep space and storage.
• Seating up to four people within kitchen.
Archipelago Solution:
• The use of teak flooring, soapstone countertops, peninsula seating, accent wall mirror, warm cabinetry with glass accents and stainless details redefined the space.
Unique Design Elements:
• Primary obstacle was the location of the refrigerator and single oven/cook top unit. A new 240v line and additional circuit breaker wriing, run throught the existing soffitt, allowed for a separate cook top and oven as well as new integrated refrigerator and wine unit.

• Blend classic plantation hallmarks with modern loft sensibilites.
• Include free-stand, professional-quality range and adequate ventilation.
• Include Restaurant-style goose-neck faucet and storage for spices and cooking utensils.
• Include a large island with plenty of storage and a wall-mounted television.
• Minimal wall cabinets, a pull-out recycle and trash bin and no microwave.
Archipelago Solution:
• Create a classic L-shaped kitchen with polished concrete floors and a large island that opened to a spacious great room.
• The island provides plenty of room for food preparation and includes custom-configured racks, cabinets and drawers.
• To increase space ample countertop surface on either side of the sink. A dishwasher and storage drawers sit underneath the countertop and a pantry cabinet sits next to the sink. The storage area is functional and done with minimal need for wall cabinetry.

A Room With A View

• Kitchen designed in contemporary style.
• With multiple seating areas in the great room, the size of the kitchen would be limited.
• A mix of natural and manufactured materials and finishes.
• An appliance garage, kitchen island and microwave placed in convenient locations.
Archipelago Solution:
• To accomplish contemporary feel powder-blue and espresso stain glass-front cabinetry, stainless-steel and aluminum-finished appliances and matching cabinetry hardware were used.
• The golden lighting granite countertops pulled all the kitchen finishes together with the wood flooring.
• Bar stools complement the modern look.

• Microwave and appliance garage set into the wall preserving important preparation space on the countertop.
• Deep and shallow drawers for various sized kitchen items. Corner cabinet for additional storage.
